Flowers

My sister and I are making all of the flowers ourselves. We will be using True Touch brand artificial floral from Hobby Lobby. All of the bouquets and boutonnieres will feature white calla lilies, white columbian roses and deep plum purple wisteria. We will be hand-painting the wisteria (which was originally white) to get the plum purple color that I was looking for.

Why fakes you ask? Simple - severe allergies.

Rather than having my flower girls throw petals, since I can't do it in my church, they will both be carrying a bouquet almost identical to the Bridesmaid Bouquets, but they will be half the size and will not have the wisteria streaming down. Instead, they will have sheer white ribbon with silver glitter and plum purple flower petals streaming down.

We will also be doing an altar arrangement. I will add more photos as I take more.

Flowergirl Totes & T's

I bought these pink totes from Hobby Lobby for $2.99 a piece. I used Hot Fix rhinestones to put their initial and some cute little flowers on them. I plan to put a t-shirt, some costume jewelry, a toy and some coloring books and crayons in them as part of their gift for being my flower girls.

Cardbox

I had an image in my head, the real thing came out pretty close to that!I purchased a small package of quilt batting, 1.5'' & 7/8'' ribbon, cross-stitch thread & 1 yard of fabric. I already had the white paint, paintbrushes and glue gun. I bought a 2 pack of white cardboard file boxes from Office Max for $7.

I wanted a box with a lift off top to get the "look" I had in my head. That's why the white paint was involved - I had to white out the areas of black writing on the box so they wouln't show through the fabric. I have instructions and more detailed pictures if anyone is interested, you can email me at

Unity Candle

I bought the candle set and holder from Hobby Lobby during one of their bridal sales - I think all the supplies (candles, holder, ribbon & flowers) came to about $15. I used small silver corsage pins to secure the ribbon & flowers.

Photo Guestbook

I used www.picaboo.com to create a guestbook using our E-Pics. I love how it turned out! and the free software was VERY easy to use. I had a code to get 50% off my first book purchase, so I used it to get a 20 page book with a black padded leather cover, for only $38 with shipping.

You can preview the entire book here

Crystal Cake Topper

Picture
I purchased a 5'' 1/8'' thick acrylic letter from www.weddingcuts.com. I purchased all of my rhinestones from www.rhinestoneshop.com. I found that E6000 glue worked really well, it dries completely clear. I ended up using 3 Gross (432) 12ss Peridot stones and 144 (2 packs) of 20ss stones.

Pew 1/2 Pomanders

I made these 1/2 Pomanders so they would lay flat while hanging against the pews in church. I used 4'' styrofoam balls cut in half - 1/2'' sage green ribbon and a TON of flowers. I think I used 10 large roses and 11 small roses for each. I also used some leftover purple wisteria in little "tufts" to add some color.

Bridesmaid Jewelry

Picture
I decided to attempt to make my own Bridesmaid jewelry to save money. This way I can spend more on other gifts for them. I bought all of the supplies from www.firemountaingems.com - boxes, wire, chains, crystals.. everything. After all was said and done, these came out to cost about $12 each! They were surprisingly easy to make with the help of tutorials from www.fusionbeads.com (simple loop tutorial & triangle bail loop).

Program Baskets

I decided rather than having someone hand out programs, I will set up stands at the entrance of the church with baskets & programs. Anyone who wants one can take one. I bought 2 baskets from JoAnn's Fabric on clearance for $3 each. They didn't match my color scheme, so I pulled apart one of the linings and made 2 of my own in a plum purple color. I also spray painted the baskets black. For being no sewing pro, I think they turned out pretty awesome!

Ring Bearer Pillows

I made 2 of these. I used scrap white fabric from other projects, leftover ribbon from invitations and flowers. The only thing I had to purchase was the stuffing, so my final cost to make these was only $5.

Day of Timelines

Pretty self-explanatory.

Centerpieces

After much deliberation. I FINALLY decided on centerpieces.

There will be 36 of these total - 18 with dark purple stones & 18 with green stones

I've nixed the fabric square underneath as well

Here's the 1st mock-up, I'll post new pics when I get all the stones
